Editing a One-Time Item

Hey gang,

due to recent chances to Square Online, I can't seem edit the name of a one-time item when building an invoice. For example, I add an item to a draft invoice, then notice later the name of the item needs a correction or a modification. For some reason, I can no longer go back, select that item, and edit it. I have to delete it and enter the corrected version all over again. (Aarrgghh). Thank you in advance for any advice you may have!

Hi there, @Timpanoga 👋😀

With the new market migration, some tiny functionalities of Invoices has been changed. Not being able to edit the name of the item is one of the functionalities that has changed for now.

I know this probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but I hope it helps provide some clarification.

Why would Square do this? The capacity to edit items on an invoice is not a "tiny" functionality. It's a key, necessary function!

At this time this is not something our team is planning on reverting or changing as it was an intended change to make the invoice creation flow more refreshing. Feel free to reach out to our Ideate Board to provide your feedback on this change. I will pass your input on to the change to the appropriate teams as well.

Hey there @webscouts, I apologize I am wrong, our team is stating they have issued a fix. You can now click on the item name, which opens the modal in the attached screenshot. We've added the "Item name" input, so you can modify the name. I apologize for the confusion! 😥

That does work for one time items, but not for existing line items. Why did they change this?
