How can I attach a contract automatically to a Estimate > Contract > Invoice workflow

Hi Folks,

I have been able to successfully create an Estimate, then manually create an Invoice that requires a contract be signed before an invoice is accepted / paid. However, when I try to automatically convert the Estimate to an Invoice, I do not have the option to require a Contract be signed before delivering the invoice.

I'm looking for this to screen on the template.

Are you using Invoices Plus? That's the only way to have the estimate auto-convert to an invoice. 😊

Hi MayaP - I do have Invoices plus, which does automatically convert the Estimate to an Invoice, that's all fine. However, the difference between creating the Invoice automatically vs manually is you have the option to attach a contract attached, and require a signature before invoice can be paid (when manually creating). You do not have this option when selecting "Automatically convert estimate to invoice when customer accepts." The option to attach a contract dialogue is not available when automatically converting to an estimate to an invoice.

I have confirmed this is a feature request. The setting 'Require unsigned contracts to be signed before payment' isn't an option that is available when creating Estimates that are automatically converted to Invoices. The only way to enable this setting is if the Estimate is converted to an Invoice draft, where you can edit the draft to enable the setting before manually sending the Invoice.

You can still attach contracts to Estimates that are automatically converted to Invoices and these will appear on the customer's end. However, the customer can make a payment for these Invoices without signing the contract first.
