How to integrate Square Invoices with Apple/Google Pay?

We send Square Invoices to our customers. With Card On File, things just work. The customer's card is charged automatically.

However, now we are introducing Digital Wallets through Apple/Google Pay.

Of course, the change here is that with Digital Wallets, the card info is not "stored".

Instead, we have a payment token ("cnon:xx") that we use to take a payment.

We can use the Square SDK to "take a payment", but how do I attribute this to a Square Invoice, so that it's marked as paid?

To mark an invoice as paid.

Pull up the invoice & click more > click mark as paid > click payment method other > write note as to how $ was received.
