Customer wrote a check for invoice. I deposited the check by taking pictures. Why is it still pending 7 days later?

When you deposit a check, Square has to verify that the check will clear with the issuer's bank. This is a process that can take 1-5 business days after deposit. Since there are no banker's hours on the weekend, this is why there hasn't been any movement on that check. I wouldn't be surprised if it hits your account tomorrow.

As you process more and more checks through Square, the system will figure out which checks likely won't bounce and adjust the funds availability date in your favor. One of my regular clients pays by check consistently. It now only takes a couple of hours before those funds are available.

I am having the same issue. I have used Square for years and it has never had this problem. I deposited the check last Monday, still pending.
