You will not be able to use the old magnetic stripe reader anymore as the iPhones are moving to USB-C and no more lightning.

Will square develop a stripe reader for the new iPhone because credit union debit cards do not have the tap capability

I have a new Iphone14 and it doesn't take the square reader either. Does square automatically come with the built in capacity to tap on your phone or do you have to download it onto your phone and if so how do you do that?

Square now does offer a Mag reader for USB - C ports, Headphone, and Lightening port.

Just look up the correct one you need for your Device.
