I want to Start using the wireless barcode system in my store.

Hello all. I want to start using a wireless barcode reader to scan products to introduce them into my inventory. The products have barcodes on the boxes they come in. Can I just use those codes and upload them into my system? Im not so concerned with using the Barcode reader when I sell the product as I assume it will be subtracted from inventory if the Staff uses the Square register and same account. Will any of this work? Thanks!

Hello @LSCMAUI

Short answer: yes.

You should scan the barcodes into the GTIN section of an item.

When a customer is being rung up, you can scan the barcode and all should be fine.
