Applying a Loyalty reward to a modifier

Hello!

Is there a way to apply a rewards discount to a modifier in an Item? Since my modifiers are the ones assigning a price value to a menu item, the loyalty rewards don't show up for the customers when I create a specific reward for a specific item. Has anyone had any issues similar to this?
