@cashxx Almost, no and sort of. I’ll explain.

You posted this in Square Point of Sale, so I’m assuming that you are not using Square for Restaurants, but rather the regular POS app. If so, go to More -> Reports -> Sales. Select your period. If you scroll down, you’ll see a section with a bar graph showing Net Sales by Hour. You can click on the “…” in the upper right and select sales count. Here you can graphically see the sales count per hour, compared the sales count for whatever comparison period you selected (default = same day previous week). Unfortunately, if you print or email the report to yourself, the per hour statistics are not included.

If you go online to your dashboard, then choose Reports -> Reports -> Sales Summary you will see a report with a line graph of sales$ per hour. If you touch on a point on the graph, it will display sales and dollars for that hour. But, again, exporting this does not include the per-hour statistics.

Which brings me to the yes, if you don’t mind working for it. You can, from your dashboard, go to Transactions, the Export -> Transactions CSV. This will download a CSV file you can open in Excel, and then you can create a summary report of sales per hour. This requires you to have a general knowledge of Excel formulas and how to use them, though. I, and a few others, can help you with this if you want a template to use.

I find myself needing a report like this as I am planning my labor for a new year. So I created a spreadsheet into which I can import the Transactions CSV and then it summaries number of tickets by hour and usually month/weekday since that is what I need to help me plan.

Does this answer your question? If not, ask away!

We got our 2 new Square Registers and won't be using them till students are back on July 19th. The cafe manager is looking at reports and was asking how to see how many people they served per each hour? I looked quickly and didn't see any reports that show how many sales they had per hour. Are we over looking something? Not having any data in there too, we might be over looking it.

Oh wow! Thank you! I'll pass that info on to the cafe manager. Sounds like what she is looking for. Yea, we are just using the Square POS, not Restaurants.

I think it will be a little easier to see how things report once they are open a day or two to see actual data.

Thank you!
