Does anyone know the algorithm Square uses to auto generate its SKU’s?

We are trying to determine if we want to use our own ski system or have one auto generate in square for retail. Does anyone know how Square auto generates its skus so we could tell what an item is just by looking at the Sku?

Thanks for writing in, great question!

I just tested this for you, and the SKUs appear random, and not in a way that could be read by just looking at them. You'd have to create them yourself or look into other systems.
