What thermal barcode printer do yall use with you square point of sale? I have been researching and I have just ordered my square kit for our business and i keep reading it has to be compatible of it will not scan the barcode, so I am lost and need help.

We use Dymo printers the XL and 450 for barcodes.

Are you talking about thermal printers to print barcodes or thermal printers for receipts. I see you are asking about compatibility.

A barcode printer will be connected to a laptop or computer and have a driver to install to print the barcodes.

A receipt printer you will need the recommended printers from Square because they have the drivers built into the POS, you can't install a driver to the POS. For a receipt printer we use the Star TSP100 future print. I connect via USB cable and also has a connection that connects to your cash drawer via a phone like cable, that way when you do a sale the printer will trigger the drawer to open.
