&lt;LI&gt;Is your device running &lt;STRONG&gt;Android version 9&lt;/STRONG&gt; or later?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Is Tap to Pay enabled from the &lt;STRONG&gt;Square Point of Sale App&lt;/STRONG&gt; under &lt;STRONG&gt;More&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Settings&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Hardware&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Tap to Pay on Android&lt;/STRONG&gt;?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;As mentioned by @&lt;STRONG&gt;Donnie-M, i&lt;/STRONG&gt;s NFC enabled from your &lt;STRONG&gt;device settings&lt;/STRONG&gt; under &lt;STRONG&gt;Settings&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Connected devices&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Connection preferences&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;NFC&lt;/STRONG&gt;?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Are &lt;STRONG&gt;Developer&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Options&lt;/STRONG&gt; turned off in your device settings?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;If the above is all correct, and &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/7960-get-started-with-tap-to-pay-on-android" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;from the checkout&lt;/A&gt; you’re able to see &lt;STRONG&gt;Review Sale&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Charge&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Tap to Pay by Android&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;or&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Enable Tap to Pay by Android&lt;/STRONG&gt;, are you receiving any error messages when you attempt to process payments?       <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/677786"&gt;@trocchioj&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;Make sure under your settings you have (NFC) turned on.&amp;nbsp; Next thing is to check permissions for your square app under the android settings menu.&amp;nbsp; I don't remember a specific one for NFC.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The quirky thing I have seen is finding the right spot of the phone to hold the chip card.&amp;nbsp; Also, I couldn't do it with a case on my phone.&amp;nbsp; Would not work for me.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
