Transactions to show cash received

We received a counterfeit $50 dollar bill so I am looking for transactions of people who paid in cash. In the Transactions page, I exported reports of each available choice but could not find a report that shows the cash received by customers. We do not encounter a lot of customers who pay with $50 dollar bills so it should be easy to find if a report can be generated to show the cash amount received by each customer. Is there a way to generate this type of report?

Hi @WBinc. There is not a report that shows what the cash a customer gave us and/or what change was returned. The Transactions CSV only shows the total cash that was owed. That change calculator on POS is there to assist employees who can’t count change in their heads.

Also, even if there was such information, since the customer paid in cash unless your policy is to always attach a customer transaction to a cash sale) you still wouldn’t be able to retrieve customer information. I know I’m my shop the only time I know the customer who paid in cash is if they are a loyalty customer and want credit for the sale in their loyalty points bank.
