How to add an "open priced" button on my square POS?

We just started selling more variety and unique types of retail items in our cafe.

I don't want to add a button for each individual item, but rather have one button on the screen where our cashier can just type the price for each item and a brief description.

Hope that makes sense. I have tried creating this button and I leave the "price" empty, but it won't allow me to save it if I leave the price blank. Thanks for any information

Hi RaeQ,

I'm thinking that the button you created may be under an Online Item. If you have items setup to sell online and try to leave the price blank, the system won't allow that, the item has to have a price. Having said that, we use Square's POS App on an iPad and have setup our items with no price for our physical shop. All of our items are one of a kind and the prices vary so all we have to is select the item, add a quick description (like color or size), fill in the price and the tax is added automatically. We have items setup to sell in person and items setup to sell online - it can be a bit confusing at times.
