Multiple Readers - Multiple Users

I currently have Square Retail (register) and I have it on my phone. I will be doing an event in November that I will need additional ways to except payments. I can take my stand alone register with me, that's one, but I need at least 3 more ways to except payments. Would it be best to get multiple readers that attach to your phone? Do these really work? I will need to setup those helping me as a new location? Is there additional charge for that - the event is just one day. I am open to all suggestions! How do I connect them to my register?

you can have unlimited devices on your account. as long as each device is logged into your account all transactions will show up in your account.
You have a couple of options to collect payments.
1. use a Square reader connected to each phone/tablet. They work great, I have 6 of them.

2. If the device you will be collecting payments on is an iPhone Xs or later you can collect the tap payment directly on the phone with no additional hardware. https://squareup.com/us/en/payments/tap-to-pay

Hey there @sylviajvincent to follow up with @VanKalkerFarms advice you can use as many devices as needed simultaneously. I do want to reiterate in order for the Square app to work seamlessly you will need to connect either to a secure Wi-Fi network or a hotspot connection. A public Wi-Fi connection will not work. Bob...I'm going to sound really stupid right now, but how do I connect 6 readers? I just read an article and I am still unsure of the process. The other 6 people using the readers are volunteers and are only needed for this one event. They will not use this device after the event. There will be 4 items that they will be allowed to sell. A meal ticket, raffle ticket, drink ticket. Am i giving them access to my entire store?

what device are they going to have to complete the transaction on? Each device be it a phone or tablet will need a contactless NFC/Chip reader attached to the device (unless it is an iPhone Xs or later then just the device will work for all NFC/Tap).

you can set up the favorites page on the devices to have the few items you want so they don't have to search for them.

so the bigger picture is you will need 6 devices and card readers for 6 people to complete transactions.

I have another question. I saw how you can create permissions for team members. How can I show only 3 items for them to sell vs. the entire inventory on their mobile devices?

Unfortunately, I do not believe there is that level of control on a per-item basis.
