    <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks Keith. I decided to return the scanner. I've already wasted too much time trying to get it to work when previous scanners plugged in my phone and laptop with no issues. I will not attempt to use another Zebra brand scanner. Back to Honeywell and hope the next one lasts longer than 3 months. At least they work when plugged in without wasting hours of my life.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your help though! Much appreciated.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Setting up LS2208 on Android phone</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I just received the LS2208 scanner purchased from Square Up. I made sure it was compatible with android. I followed the instructions, rudimentary as they are, and can't seem to get anything but flashing red lights and 4 beeps. On my PC, all it does is flash green but, in neither place, will it scan and read my barcodes. This scanner is replacing one that gave out on me, so I have all my products already barcoded both in square and printed barcode labels (Code 128) on my products. Can anyone possible help me get this thing working or should I just send it back to Square for refund?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Cell or Tablet and the Model number.&amp;nbsp; The other thing is there is an '*' nect to the device, and when reading about the astrix you need to using Android version 9 or higher.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The adapter you must be using that is givng the Scanner the Beeps and Red light must mean the adapter you connected might not be compatible.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Here is a Guide for the LS2209 and on Page 10, you will find a chart explaining the Lights and Beeps.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.zebra.com/content/dam/support-dam/en/documentation/unrestricted/guide/product/MN000753A04ENa_ls2208-qsg-en.pdf?" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://www.zebra.com/documentation/ls2208en.pdf&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope all this helps!&amp;nbsp; Also you could plug the scanner to a computer and see if it works or is defective.&amp;nbsp; Plug the scanner in, open a document program and scan one of your item barcodes to see if the Barcode appears in the Document.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for your response. I am using a moto G 5G with android version 14. I have also tried connecting to my computer, a Lenovo IdeaPad with Windows 11 Home, 64 bit and 4 GB ram. As I mentioned earlier, my previous scanner was plug and play Honeywell 1900....I use an adapter to allow the usb plug from the scanner to fit into my usb-c of my android.&amp;nbsp; At this point I am ready to ship it back for a refund as it is obviously either defective or not compatible as listed by Square (although it was the ONLY compatible scanner sold on the Square site).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The pdf you pointed me to is the same thing included with the scanner. The four beeps do not tell me HOW to resolve the issue of a "transmission error" indicated.&amp;nbsp; The flashing lights red or green do not tell me how to resolve the problem associated with the lights, only what it means.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;when connected to my android, Square app shows the reader is connected. I try to scan a barcode and nothing happens. It "should" enter the item scanned into checkout, which it does not.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/679715"&gt;@KHCrafts&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When you connect the Scanner to your Lenovo lap top what happens?&amp;nbsp; The Scanner to the Laptop should be plug and play through a USB port.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Flashing Lights and the Beeps seem to be because of a communication error between the Android Device and the Scanner.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Plug Play seems to work on the Android since it sees the Scanner in the Square App.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Try turning phone on, Start the Square App then Connect the Scanner.&amp;nbsp; If that does not work call support tomorrow at the number in my signature line.&amp;nbsp; I use Square Stands and my scanners work fine.&amp;nbsp; Never tried Adapters and my Android devices.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/679715"&gt;@KHCrafts&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You're welcome, and I have been using 4 Zebra scanners since 2019 with no issues on the scanners end.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Only thing I did to the Scanners since getting them has been scan to set to factory and then a few other scans for Tab and Carriage return settings when using with a spreedsheet.&amp;nbsp; I think you may have gotten a bad scanner.&amp;nbsp; Good luck in the future with scanners.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
