    <description>&lt;P&gt;Can anyone point me to an article or explain what the difference is between quantity on hand and quantity available? I did not find it in the article on inventory management. For many of our items, the number available is shown as less than the number on hand, and I don’t understand why they are different.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have been ignoring “available” since our online Woo shop inventory seems to sync with product “on hand.” Are there any cautions I should be heeding rather than continuing to ignore the discrepancy?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
