How do I add a custom attribute to a modifier?

Hello,

How do I add a custom attribute to a modifier? I am able to do so for Items and Variations but I also need to do so for Modifiers. According to the link below, custom attributes can be added to Modifiers, but how via the Square POS, app, or Seller Dashboard?
