Manual BOGO Discount?

Afternoon! How do I create a BOGO discount that isn't automatic? I want Square POS to make sure the purchase is eligible (so cashiers can't apply a 100% discount to a single item, for instance)

I tried setting up a BOGO with the rules, but it told me I had to make it automatically apply. I only want it to apply if the customer has a coupon. Is that possible?

Hi @jdevelvis. You can’t do exactly what you want, I’m afraid. All you can do is create the discount code for 100% and then trust your employees not to apply it to an item unless there is a qualifying item in the cart already. If you want to control it a little, you can passcode protect the discount code so that a manager has to approve it when an employee attempts to add it to a transaction.

Otherwise, there are no conditional discounts (other than for automatic discounts) available in any Square POS right now.
