..what is the difference regarding Square Contacctless Reader.....between Generation 1 and Generation 2?

Hi Desertsage,

From what I find -

Gen 2 Reader has:

* Longer battery life.

* Stronger connectivity and NFC performance. New BLE 5.3 capability (from BLE 4.2) provides better range, a more reliable connection and lower power consumption. The NFC antenna and circuitry was further optimized to take payments quickly and easily with the latest mobile payment solutions like smartwatches.

* Enhanced security. Built-in security features help prevent fraud and ensure PCI compliance.

* USB-C port which is nice. The micro-USB port has now been upgraded to a USB-C connector.

And this link should also help. Note, have not used the Gen 2 as my Gen 1 is still quite happy even it's older. Will upgrade when my Gen 1 is ready to retire !
