Sales tax set up

I have searched the help guides on how to turn on sales tax. In each of the areas like account and business settings, there is nothing to turn on sales tax. I am using the app on my iPad with the added inventory management addition. How do I get this option into my app?

@LnJ1 @Try this area in your settings:
More — Settings —Checkout —taxes

and when you add new inventory items, you can toggle on/off if that particular item is “taxable”

Thanks for the response. In my more-settings, etc, there is no checkout, let alone taxes.another direction was to go into account-business-sales tax, which does not exist. In the individual items. It gives directions of where to go to turn, it does not exist. It’s like it’s not in the system.

The Business - Sales- Tax, is not through the APP but by a computer and Web Browser like Chrome.

From the Dashboard it is Account & Settings - Business Information - Sales Taxes and then you can create a sales tax

Hi there, @LnJ1 😀👋

My good friend @Candlestore has provided some great guidance for how to set up sales taxes in the Square Dashboard.

In the Square app, you can set up a sales tax by:

1.) Go to "More"

2.) Scroll down to "Settings"

3.) Click "Checkout"

4.) You should see where it says "Sales Taxes"

5.) Once you click on that you should see a + sign in the top right corner
