Why no live representatives, just chat with people that don't help ?

I have called square only to have to speak with a representative via chat and get nothing but a runaround for over 40 minutes. Has anyone else experienced this? Why are there no more live representatives to call in and speak with? What other companies take credit card processing?

yes I have had this happen as well. I am very frustrated
