How do I create a customized 8.5x11 printable receipt for my business?

We are an art gallery. Occasionally, for our high dollar transactions of fine art, we would like to be able print a receipt for the customer that would be put in one of our branded envelopes. We will be using a standard laser printer to print an 8.5x11 receipt. However, the "default" design doesn't really work: it looks like a thermal receipt - which we do not use.

I've experimented with the "invoice" feature and it's too complex and time-consuming for simply generating a receipt for a transaction.

Years ago when I first started using Square there were some pretty cool options to create layout for a larger printable receipt. Is this option now for a premium account or are there plugins or ??

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi GalleryAdmin,

We've used Square since 2012 and have not seen an option to print a Letter Size receipt, but then again, never had a reason to do that. I understand your needs to do something special for your customers, we often include personalized Thank You notes and other small things - it makes a purchase special. Besides suggesting that you could submit a "Feature Request" for what you have in mind, there's other options outside the box. Check out JotForm for example, you can use one of their Templates to start and customize from there or just us an App like Powerpoint to do what you have in mind - either way, it's going to be a manual effort verses automatically generating a Letter Size receipt through Square. Perhaps another Community member has some thoughts on this.
