Is there a report (or other location) that would show the cost of goods for each transaction? I'd like to easily see the profit per sale.

Hello @detailsupply !

On the base Point of Sale system there is no COGS report unfortunately.

However, if you use Square for Retail and upgrade to the Plus version, you get access to a lot more reporting including a COGS report.

Along with what @ryanwanner says Square For Retail does show more reports but I do not think there is one that will show a Cost of Goods Sold report per Transaction. I think the cost of Goods Sold is based on a Day or other time frame but not per sale.

So when I look at the COGS sold report on my dashboard I can only choose the day. If I look at Today I can see the report of all sales up to now, but does not break them down by Transaction.

I know you can Sign up to Try Square for Retail for Free. I forget what the length of the Free trial is. I used my accounting software for more detailed reports and I am not even sure if my accounting reported cogs by the transaction even when I imported each transaction by Time and Date. By trying the Free trial ou can see if these reports would work for you.
