I am a non-profit that uses square to sell ice cream at a festival.

I do not need to track sales to the user. I have created a login under my main Square account, with a unique email. I want people to sign during their shift with their own phone, connect to the reader and sell.

When people sign in, they are confused by the 'Protect Your Account' and accidentally set up 2FA.

That prevents anyone else from signing in. Once I figure out who they are, I can log in, with this person on the phone to give me the code. Then i can remove the 2FA prompt.

How do i manage many users all signing into the same Square account, to avoid this?

@SanRamonArts ;

As I see this is your first post let me welcome you to the Square Sellers Forum.

When I first started I set up on the Square Dashboard 2 Users Me and basically a Cashier account. By doing this I could limit the Cashier to what they can see and do but I was still able to see the Bank account and daily income.. With Square you can have 1 owner account and 1 Staff account for free or you use to be able to. With your situation I do not recommend the Device Codes as each Device gets a Unique code to log in. I am not sure how I set it up 5 yrs ago, but I know it was through the dashboard on a computer. Now with everytone having the same login code you will not be able to see how many items a individual sold or a total amount for each volunteer. I have basically family in my store so we do not track who sold how much as long as everyone can make the sale which is what your asking. We switched over to a Device codes for each POS since our POS stay at the physical location and do not move that much. Hope this helps.
