Question about reports

We are open overnight. We open at 11:00pm. The only reporting time options I see start at 12:00 am.

I need the reporting day to start at 11:00pm on one day and end at 10:59 pm on the next day.

Any clue how to do this???

@charlesC1 Interesting issue you are having. Typically speaking, most businesses have carryover from night before on the same day. It does count the reporting hours as the day the hours start, which would be customary. I looked to see if there is an easy workaround, but I didn't see one. You could in theory, export the transaction log as a .CSV and do a custom time range to pull just the sales totals for those days.

I do see how this would be a good feature request.

A more practical way to get around this is to probably either accept the day start as the 11:00pm for that date and all sales until 11:00pm the next day are in fact dated the day before.

This would make a good feature request.

When I tested this with my demo account I was able to add reporting hours and customize it for 11 pm- 10:59 pm the next day. If this doesn't work for you as @Donnie-M mentioned it would then be a feature request.

@MayaP Yes, that is what I found too. I think the seller was wanting to be able to put in the date after midnight, but square defaults to the date that the reporting hours start. We have this in the food industry but for example: Restaurant hours are 2pm to 3am. The date for all those sales is on the date the 2pm starts. This seller wanted to do the day predominantly they are open. I do think it would be a good feature request. I haven't checked to see if it is any different under end of day hours you can specify in settings somewhere, but I don't think it would be any different.
