I need to be able to filter the non-tax items that show up on tax report for every month! I cannot figure out where the non-taxed is coming from..

Hello @Boulderite1 !

Your best bet is to download a Summary CSV report from the Item Sales Report page.

Dashboard -> Reports -> Item Sales

Once in excel or google sheets, you can sort by the tax column and see what items aren't being taxed.

In your area what type of sales are not taxable?

For me Food and Clothing are non-taxable plus items I ship out of state.

When I created the Items I turned off Sales tax for Food and Clothing items. Online orders through Square, Square has settings based on your local tax authorities if you enabled this. After a sale and you see your reports and are trying to figure out what items sold that were not Taxed then follow @ryanwanner reply. If you want to look through your catalog and turn Tax on for everything. Export your Square catalog as a csv or excel file, and I believe its the last column that says Sales Tax with a Y or N.

Y= sales Tax

N = Non taxable

Taxes are getting more and more complicated so you may want to check with a local accountant before making changes.
