Subcategory Reports

Is there a way to view a report of subcategories? I'm happy with my top-tier 'reporting' categories for my basic category reports. I would like, sometimes, to dig down deeper, and look at metrics of subcategories. Any chance this feature is coming? Would be a great way to take advantage of subcategories!

As I am only another Square user I am not sure if Square will be coming out with a way to get reports by Subcategories.

I just tried downloading my Transactions csv files and those only show Category. The category here is the Reporting category. I was hoping I could see the Subcategories to tell you to use a csv file and pivot tables. This also does not work.

The only thing I can suggest is look in your accounting software and see if you can have Items- category- sub category there.

In my QBs file I can have Item and also have custom Fields. So when I sold an item by UPC for example I could have it in a category and also a subcategory. Then in my Quickbooks I could get reports by or export the report to a csv file. Currently I have these custom fields as Square Token so I can update the correct item(s) in Square. I was using QBs Desktop till I lost the Bank Feeds because of end of service and them pushing Online accounting.
