Finally - you can add images for categories!

I am so excited Square added the ability to add pictures for categories! We have been asking this since 2016 and had given up as the years went by. When you create a category, you can now upload an image. Before it was only words or colors. Now when you are in the Square App and you add categories to your Favorites, the images show up on the buttons! Wish there was a way to let all the people on the locked threads who wanted this to know it can finally be done.

Along with having images for Categories you can also have an image for an item and Variations also.

So I have a picture of 5 different colored candles of a certain size for the category.

For the item I have the image of that scent in that size jar.

For Variation I have a few differnt jars of the same size ( some were hard to get and older ones the prices went extremely high.

So you can have a Category image

an Item image and even Variation images

Just incase you did not know this also.

Thanks. Item photos have always been there. The photos on categories is probably the most awaited feature and so glad they have finally made this happen after years of asking! I believe you can only have photos on variations if you use for your Square online store. I only use Square POS on tablets/phones and it seems there is no way to add photos on variations unless you use Square for your online store.
