Any way to check business EIN eligibility?

I'm trying to get a card reader for my business, but the identification failed. I only recently registered my EIN, and I think that's why. Is there any way I can actually check to see when it is verified and in the system? I only have a limited amount of verification attempts on here, but I also would like to get started sooner rather than later, can I call the irs to check or something?

Hey @FrontyardPeanut. Your could call in to the IRS, but I wouldn’t guarantee that they would be able to help you. I can say for certain (having registered over a half dozen EINs over the years) that once the process is completed, you WILL receive a notice in the snail mail from the IRS. Until that happens, I’ve always just assumed that it wasn’t complete by the IRS yet.
