Is it possible to add a tip option by using an "Item" from Item Library?

You used to be able to add an option where by sharing a Link to "pay" there is a check-mark where the recipient of that link or email, will have an "option" to add a tip.

Is this still doable? If so, how do we enable it back on?

I hope we get updates or system notifications when features like these are removed or changed, I don't think we were notified through Square's system and we wondered why some of our processes didn't work. It's quite an unfair & confusing feeling especially when such a micro business like ours get charged a lumpsum % by Square off of any transaction completed.

Morever, with this option, by just using a simple "Item" and sharing a link to the customer for them to pay, this method is the simplest. But somehow, some things such as adding a tip option were switched up. Can't we just make it simple where we can just text them the link, this is how we found Square better to use.

You can send links for itemized payments with the option to tip directly to your customers via text message. You can achieve this using Square Invoices, Square Payment Links, or Square Virtual Terminal.

Each payment method has slightly different steps to enable tipping, so I’d recommend following the instructions in the Support Center articles below depending on your chosen payment method:

Square Invoices:
- Create and send Invoices
- When creating an invoice on the Square Dashboard, after selecting the relevant payment options, toggle on Tipping. Your customers will then have the option to add a tip when paying their invoice.
Square Payment Links:
- Create and share Square Payment Links
- When creating a payment link on the Square Dashboard, click on Advanced settings and toggle on Enable tipping.
Square Virtual Terminal:
- Accept payments with Square Virtual Terminal
- Before collecting a payment with Virtual Terminal on the Square Dashboard, navigate to Payments > Virtual Terminal > Settings > Checkout from your online Square Dashboard, and toggle on Accept tips. When collecting the payment, click the Add tip button.
