We changed our point of sale system from Clover to Square during 2024. It is causing some inconsistencies in our reports in QuickBooks.

With Clover we would receive electronically an invoice with the date of the actual sale and the sales show under the month the actual sale took place. So a sale on Saturday November 30 would show in QuickBooks under November sales.

With Square the invoice show with the date the funds were transferred instead of when the sale actually took place. So sales on November 30 are showing in QuickBooks as sales in December.

Problem #1: Our reporting is not consistent throughout the year.

Problem #2: The reports in QuickBooks is not an actual representation of our sales.

Is there anyway to have the sales with Square show up in QuickBooks under the month the sales took place?

@ASG2 ;

You would have to look at your settings for the way your transactions are imported to QuickBooks. I used a 3rd party to do this from Square to Quickbooks Desktop. I used a import from my Sales Transactions CSV files. This file gives you both the Date of the Sale and the Date the Transaction is Transfered. For the Date field you must make sure you select the correct date to match and keep things consistant. I am not sure how your getting your sales into Your Quickbooks. You may have to look at you Map file that says which field from Square is to which field in Quickbooks if you have that option.

Actually digging a little deeper the problem seems to have come up with the change from Daylight Savings Time. When I can get to my device I'll check to be sure it is set correctly.
