Do 0$ charge from square appeared before my square deposit

I have sold using square for a couple years on and off. I recently used a square reader at an event I was vending at during the weekend. Two days later I had my debit card frozen when my bank noticed a 0$ charge from a different square vendor (Lady M Boutique) appear on my bank statement *note: I have never been to that store. However, just a couple hours after the 0$ charge is when square deposited money into my account from the event I was vending at. Is it common for square to “charge” 0$ the same day as a deposit? I had already authenticated my account last month, but I know square uses micro transactions sometimes…however it has a business name attached to it so I am confused as to whether this is fraud or not.

I have never seen a $0 charge from Square, I'm not sure what that would even be or how it would happen.

I understand your concern about the $0 charge. Square does not perform $0 charges linked to other vendors or businesses as part of the deposit process.

Is the $0 charge showing as pending or completed? Can you please provide a screenshot of the charge (without including any sensitive information) so I can take a closer look and help you further?
