How can I get set up to take credit cards over the phone? Or simply to enter CC info if possible through paypal. I have a client who refuses to go through Paypal but has given me AMEX cc number, etc.

You would need to fill out all the needed information to have a Square account. Same as you did when you signed up for PayPal. Then you will have a Square account with User name and Password you setup. When you log in you can use The virtual Terminal on a Computer to enter CC information or on a cell phone through Manual entry of their CC information. The funds from this sale will be sent to your Linked bank account if you choose to setup Next Day deposits to your Linked and Verified Bank account.

You would need your Square Account setup and active before doing this.
