Setup Vendors for your Square system.

Then you can create an Item (vehicle with a unique code), Dealers Stock number for example. When Setting up the New Item (vehicle) select the vendor from ones you have listed. Leave the Price Field blank so that when you select the Item (vehicle) you can enter the $ amount for your time there.

Then you can also have a Variation for Normal Unlocking Fee and select that, or leave blank for you to input the amount or set it by Hourly rate and enter time there.

This is just a work around I came up with on the fly since I am not sure what you are looking for to track each vehicle.

I am just not sure why you would want everycar you need to Unlock in your system, if you give more examples I might think of a better way. I have locked my self out of a car about 3 or 4 times but they were always Different vehicles. Loaner, or I just got a new car, but very seldom the same car.

Then in Square you can look up vender (items) and see a list of all their Vehicles for that Vendor. You can also run reports on how many times in a time fram you went to Customer (Vendor). This could also be done if your Vendor and Customer are the Same name. Meaning you can see how many times Customer called you etc. Say you have Customer Valley Auto Mall which has multiple Dealerships, but the payee is always Valley Auto Mall. Have Customer as Valley Auto Mall and Vendors as Valley Auto Mall - Ford, Valley Auto Mall - Toyota etc....

Thats a very out of the box way of thinking. I would have never thought of that. I'm not sure if that would work or not.The things I need to I offer a service, free of charge, where I save your key information. That way, if you ever lock your keys inside or lose your keys, you can call me 24/7, and I will cut a door key for it and deliver it to you (this service has a charge). If you don’t want me saving the key info, please let me know. in the vehicle card would be: VIN, Plate, Year, Make, Model, Color, Key ways, Key bitting, Ignition bitting, Door bitting, Trunk bitting, Remote FCC ID, Remote IC, Remote Freq, Remote Batt, and I would also like to be able to I offer a service, free of charge, where I save your key information. That way, if you ever lock your keys inside or lose your keys, you can call me 24/7, and I will cut a door key for it and deliver it to you (this service has a charge). If you don’t want me saving the key info, please let me know. multiple photos and scan files into the card.

@AbelR1975;

So for you have the Vehicle card as an Unique Item name. Owners Make and Model for example

in the Description of the Item have:

In the vehicle card would be: VIN, Plate, Year, Make, Model, Color, Key ways, Key bitting, Ignition bitting, Door bitting, Trunk bitting, Remote FCC ID, Remote IC, Remote Freq, Remote Batt, etc

If they do not want you to save this information Delete the Description wording they want you to remove to make the key, or delete the Item all together.

Square is more so a Point of Sale sytems and not a full blown ERP or CRM software that has all these contacts and Data base locations for clients. So you may have to think a little out of the box for somethings. Just remember not to List your items for Sale ONLINE that others could see the Description of how to make the Key.

Seems a great idea! A vehicle-to-customer assignment feature would surely streamline working for everyone involved. It would improve business and efficiency across the board. Keep it UP!

Thats a good idea, I just hate workarounds. I wish that they could integrate what I'm asking into Square. When you start using workarounds, you have to remember what you've substituted in which blank and so on.
