What is a subscription?

Square's current fee structure will be automatically extended through December 2025 for merchants with a subscription. I have been using Square for about 10 years, and haven't heard that term used before, nor can I find a way to search Square for "subscription". What constitutes a subscription? Thanks.

HI @BillsBudsToo , welcome to the Square community. The subscriptions that square offers include those for Appointments, Invoices, Payroll , Square Online, Retail. Restaurant. Does your business happen to use any of these where you are being charged on a monthly basis?

Thanks for the reply.

No, I'm only using Square for the on-the-go sales, which only charges me by the sale. I have no recurring monthly charges.

If that's what is meant by subscription, then I will assume after April 30, my rate will go up to $0.15 from 0.10 per transaction in addition to the percentage fee.

yes that would be correct. That rate increase also only applies to card present transactions at this time as well., per the email that was sent out.
