      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/588160"&gt;@doctxmac&lt;/a&gt;. &amp;nbsp;I’ve been using Square for over a decade now. &amp;nbsp;And until this week, I’ve never seen this question pop up in the community. &amp;nbsp;Yours is the second time this week. &amp;nbsp;I had always assumed that there was a way to create team members who did not use POS or get access. &amp;nbsp;I was wrong, it seems. &amp;nbsp;In my case, it didn’t matter because I’ve always trusted my employees and they’ve never given me reason to distrust them. &amp;nbsp;But, yes, I know I’m very lucky and that puts me in a minority of business owners. &amp;nbsp;Anyway….&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Currently, this is just not possible. &amp;nbsp;After the last question about this came up, I submitted &lt;A href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/Square-Staff-and-Payroll/Allow-us-to-add-team-members-that-don-t-need-permissions-other/idi-p/782250" target="_self"&gt;this feature request&lt;/A&gt; for consideration. &amp;nbsp;Unfortunately, feature requests take time to review and design and implement, so there will be no quick solution here. &amp;nbsp;I recommended to the other seller that they have all employees clock in and out using the Square Team app. &amp;nbsp;Then, if they (or anyone) sees employees who shouldn’t be on a POS using one, that should be a red flag to you that this employee is probably up to no good. &amp;nbsp;That’s the best workaround I can give you for now, though.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you would, please follow the link to my feature request and upvote it. &amp;nbsp;You can leave comments, but remember to stick to the facts of your particular situation. &amp;nbsp;It won’t do any good to berate or put down anyone for this oversight. &amp;nbsp;You probably wouldn’t do that, but I have to mention it because many people are uncouth, that way. &amp;nbsp;I never let anything go unsaid anymore. &amp;nbsp;Ha.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/588160"&gt;@doctxmac&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;I should add to my work-around that if you do make it a policy for employers to only clock in/out on the Team app, you can disable the clocking feature on your POS. Then the POS is only a POS, not a time clock. Then there is definitely no reason for non-service employees to be on a POS period.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply.&amp;nbsp; By upvoting, I hope you mean to give it a Kudo.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My team uses the team app for logging hours, but sometimes, they work where a POS system is not needed or available.&amp;nbsp; So, having them clock into a device might not work.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;While your request hints at not adding it to the permissions, I think it would be a good place for it. I also think having it designated under devices would work. It's how we have secured certain applications in a work environment where specific applications can only run on designated devices.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks again&lt;/P&gt;</description>
