    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have 2 scales&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;CAS SW-RS&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;CAS PD-II&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Both of them are not recognized in Square. It gives a message that the USB device is not protected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a SQUARE STAND 1st generation, and according to the documentation this is supported for the CAS scales.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Its been really frustrating not being able to get it to work. Can someone help?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi there&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/709539"&gt;@Gov75&lt;/a&gt;.. &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/8336-troubleshoot-connection-on-scales" target="_self"&gt;Here is a link&lt;/A&gt; to the Square troubleshooting guide for scales. There is this important note about CAS scales -- "&lt;SPAN&gt;CAS SW-RS and CAS PD-2Z scales need to be in Extended Control Register (ECR-5) mode to work properly." Check CAS user guides/support pages for instructions on how to do that.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
