&lt;P&gt;This definitely doesn't sound right. The updates are meant to get out the kinks/bugs so it shouldn't be that doing it. I wonder if there's some other troubleshooting we could do to prevent this.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Is the iPad in the Stand being updated with the new Apple updates as they come as well?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;It seems every time the software has an update, it kills my hardware and makes it unusable. Apparently there was a recent update and the card reader on both my Square Stand &amp;nbsp;and POS don’t work. &amp;nbsp;Anyone else have that problem?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your message. We don’t have the stand with an iPad. We upgraded to the Squarr Register which has a built in display and a separate customer facing display. We reached customer service over the weekend, but they were not very helpful. They offered to replace the unit...for the fourth time. There has to be a better solution other than boxing it up and sending it back.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;That is super frustrating. You shouldn't be having to replace it so often. I can't think of anything else you could be doing differently especially with the Register. Could you give our Customer Success team a call again and ask to speak with a Register Specialist? They might be able to give you more information than our regular Support team.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
