Square App on Samsung S9+ draining battery

The Square Point of Sale app is just eating the battery on my Samsung Galaxy S9+. In the last week the battery monitor said that the app used 118% of the battery life.

This is crazy. I've even tried force-quitting the app, but it's still there running in the background, eating all the battery... but apparently using 0 minutes of time.

What's going on and how can I stop it?

Wow! That is a really unusual, and not something we've seen a ton of, so thank you so much for flagging this. We do want to look further into this, and are creating a support ticket to research this.
