Magstripe reader not working with LG V40?

I have an LG V40 thin Q if I plug the reader into the phone quite hard and hold it it shows the magstripe is connected but as soon as I release it it shows magstripe disconnected?

Hey @VernsCreations,

It doesn't look like the LG V40 is listed as a compatible device from our Compatibility Page.

Unfortunately there's no guarantee the device you have will work with our readers since it isn't tested.

You may need to use another device for now.
