When using the Square terminal I do not want taxes added automatically when using the keypad. The products I sell are taxed but the services are not. The taxes are being calculated correctly when I use the Library so that part is working great. But when I use the keypad the number I enter automatically has tax added to it and I do not want taxes added to that number.

Sounds like Custom Amounts has taxes assigned to them, but you can disable it from Dashboard. Head to Items > Sales Taxes. Next to the tax, click Apply to Items and uncheck Custom Amounts at the top of the list.
