3rd Party Domain Not Connecting

I recently connected my domain name to square. It is a domain name that is hosted on Hostgator, I had hostgator support update all of my DNS information, but the website is still not working. Square has a notification saying that the domain is connected, but on the same screen it says that it is disconnected. My website has been down for days...

Hey there @christinehall75.. First, what is your domain name? Second, can you please have Hostgator send you screen shots of your DNS so that I can look it over? It sounds like they did something wrong during setup and the only way to troubleshoot is to see how that looks now.

As for the disconnected thing, that is a glitch that I remember from my days of using a third-party registrar with Square. That, in itself, doesn’t mean a thing though it is confusing. Anyway, once I have more information I should be able to help you troubleshoot this. I just need information to go on.

Hi @christinehall75 - so sorry to hear of the frustration of your third-party domain not connecting.

Like @TheRealChipA has asked, we will need your domain as well as being able to see your current DNS records to see if it is being pointed to Square.

Once we have this info, we will be able to better assist!
