Sqaure not letting me make changes or adding new variations to a catergory

So for the past 3 days, My co-workers and I have been trying to put in new stock and put in a new variation of items and square will either give us an error saying something went wrong, crash, or freeze. I've tried everything and this problem still continues and it happens in all categories. @AshleyK @Goldneye

HI, thank you for the screenshots. To understand your side I still need more information. From the Edit Item screenshot you are selling shirts, correct? I am not familiar with this versions of Edit Variation, Edit Item. Right off what do I see? Are the SKUs the same for various items? What is the -5? By any chance are you on POS? or Menu Format template?

@Goldneye So I'm in the middle of cleaning up this business's inventory because they have it set up before square was for retail. So what your looking at is the Item actually being the Vendor and under the Item is "variations" but they are actually individual items for that vendor. The -5 is stock and many items are negative because of lazy management from a previous co-worker in charge. So Im trying to re-organize fix the stock because the majority of items are negative but square won't let me fix or edit.

HI, thank you I appreciate the time and explanation. It's Square For Retail. I am not familiar with Square For Retail. You might have to work backwards. Is the new item you are trying to add already in inventory? Was the item previously sold, then deleted?

@Goldneye It does not, Sqaure wont let me do any of those things it always gives me an error
