&lt;P&gt;If your device is using a mobile network, your device can still have spotty connection to the Square Point of Sale app due to strength of service in a particular area.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Can you confirm signal strength in the area you use your POS app?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

You'll want to look for your exact device using &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/compatibility" target="_blank"&gt;this tool&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;- there are a few different versions of the Galaxy Tab A.&lt;BR /&gt;
If yours is &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/compatibility?platform=Android&amp;amp;brand=Samsung&amp;amp;model=Galaxy+Tab+A+8.0%22+(Wi-Fi)" target="_blank"&gt;this one&lt;/A&gt;, it looks like it is not compatible with the Square Reader for contactless and chip.&lt;/P&gt;
