      <description>&lt;P&gt;My contactless reader works perfectly when chip cards are inserted but does not work at all for cards to tap. I understand not all cards have that capability..I am referring to the ones that that capabilty. None have ever worked. Any help? Thanks !&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My device and app are up to date, but the reader "tap" function still does not work. I hasn't worked from day 1, but I never kworried about it since back then not many cards had that function. Now that nearly ALL cards have it, customers want to use it. Do I have to purchase a new reader or can I return my reader in exchange for a new one?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P dir="auto" style="margin: 0;"&gt;I do not have any knowledge on what will be necessary if tap to pay becomes available on the iPad. I wouldn't think you would need to get a new reader, but Square is always making updates to the functionality of the hardware.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P dir="auto" style="margin: 0;"&gt;You can, however, do tap to pay with an iPad if you use the &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/us/en/hardware/stand" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Square Stand&lt;/A&gt;. I definitely want to clarify that if any sellers come across this thread.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
