My magstripe reader will not accept my gift cards and I cannot swipe chipless cards on my Galaxy Tab

I have 2 Galaxy Tab A and my magstripe reader will not work on either of them I've tried 5 different mag strips. Is there a setting I missing I am granting the microphone access I can't get it to read my gift cards or my chipless credit cards

Hi there, @KoropelliCoffee - thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community. So sorry to hear about the trouble here with your Galaxy Tab A. Sounds frustrating, indeed.

According to our compatibility resource, it looks like the regular headphone jack Magstripe Reader is compatible with the Galaxy Tab A. While I'm not super versed in your specific tablet, I did find this helpful video regarding enabling your microphone settings on your Android device.

Have you considered switching to using the Contactless & Chip Card reader in lieu of a Magstripe? This reader connects via bluetooth and does not require microphone access specifically.
