    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/385762"&gt;@Amc1&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;This is probably gonna be a no go.&amp;nbsp; Square has specific restrictions on the country each app is being used in.&amp;nbsp; Canada has different rules/fees/restrictions just like UK or US.&amp;nbsp; So square has to have location enabled and I am sure there are some security checks to make sure the information being transmitted to their servers from the POS is encrypted and secure.&amp;nbsp; A VPN can make your ip address look as though it is from another country and will cause a red flag for the app.&amp;nbsp; Unfortunately, a VPN by nature is trying to hide something so this probably is a flag.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you have a specific reason for wanting to mask your ip address while running the point of sale?&amp;nbsp; Square is using encryption that I am sure is much stronger than anything a commercial vpn would provide as far as information between the app and their servers.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This article may put your mind at ease as far as disabling your vpn:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/3797-secure-data-encryption" target="_self"&gt;https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/3797-secure-data-encryption&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
