can't get purchases to go through

Hi,

I set up a website with shop to sell prints of my artwork and I connected with square. I believe I setup the account completely and yet, when I click on the purchase button to test it, it goes to a cart, but then I click checkout and it says the cart is empty. What is wrong? I need to fix this quickly because customers are asking to purchase prints and I'm unable to get it done. Thanks for your help!
