Hi, I've added a custom sub-domain for our store. Do the SSL Certificates that Square provides also connect to sub-domains? I made the update 2 nights ago.

Yes, the SSL certificate should work for a custom subdomain as well. It can take 48 hours to fully connect with SSL, but if you are still not seeing it after that time frame, please let us know!

Well if anyone finds this and cannot find any information to help, I figured out a solution.

"Unpublish" and then Publish your site again. It will initiate the SSL certificate. (Of course the appropriate amount of time has passed for DNS records to propagate)

DOES THE SSL CERTIFICATE ACTIVATE ON ITS OWN? I JUST PUBLISHED MY WEBSITE TODAY HOWEVER MY SITE SAYS UNSECURE.

I would recommend making sure that your account is fully activated by visiting squareup.com/activate. Once you complete that your site will appear secure.

Hello,
I have my website drinkyourveggies.co with installed SSL certificate.
Now I want to switch this website to another domain (cosmicveggies.com) and when I do so there is no SSL certificate. How can I set it?

It looks like you have properly pointed the domain to the Square servers, however, the domain is not assigned to your website yet.

Once you connect the domain to your website, and republish, a new SSL certificate will be issued. If you still see the site loading without the SSL, please let me know, and I"ll take a look at the settings on the backend.

I am having the same issue. My sub-domain has an SSL certificate, I pointed the square site to the sub-domain and it is populating. However the site still says it is not secure.

In this case, it seems that your DNS needs to be corrected in order for us to validate the subdomain and assign an SSL to your site successfully, I suggest you visit your Website Editor and make sure you modify your A records as indicated on the top (see image)

In your case since you are using a subdomain you would need to make sure that records are modified or created with the following configuration:

subdomain.domain.com = @

www.subdomain.domain.com = www

Both of these records need to exist as requested on the banner mentioned above. Once these records are completed and no other A or CNAME records are using the previously stated configuration, your site will become secure.
