Discount amount popping up

I've created coupon codes for online orders. However, people are telling me they don't show up or are recognized when they try to order. I'm finding the same thing. I have a discount code set up if they buy 2 or buy 3 of my item. The codes are showing up in my coupons section, but is there a way to get them to pop up or be displayed for someone to choose during checkout? I'm finding I have to do this manually for them, which is frustrating. Thanks.

Hello @VazuVases and thanks for your question. I'm sorry you're having trouble with your discounts. The issue maybe this...

Square treats discounts online, and in person differently. From your Dashboard, if you go to ITEMS > DISCOUNTS, you can create a discount to be used in-person, either from your POS ipad, Square Register or Terminal. However, these cannot be used online on your website.

If you want to offer savings on your website, those are called Coupons and they are setup in a different area of your Dashboard. Go to ONLINE > ITEMS > COUPONS and here you can set up the same or offer different discounts as your in-person Discounts.

I know this isn't often ideal, but understanding how Square treats these differently will help your customers successfully apply their savings.

I understand all that, I'm trying to find out if I can allow MULTIPLE discount coupon codes to be used on my website....

It's not possible to use multiple coupons with your online store. Please make sure to follow HC_Charlie's suggestion to setup your website coupons through the Square Online dashboard.

I was also unaware of the two types of coupons. Thank you!

Once I have created the coupon, how do I be sure it is active? I did check the box to the left. Is that all I have to do?

That's a great question. You can view all online coupons here directly on your Square Dashboard.
